EPicketFence Privacy Statement
At ePicketFence we respect the privacy of our users and the importance of the information they entrust to us. EPicketFence is a website that encourages communication and information sharing. The disclosure of personal information is always a sensitive issue and as such we consider it our highest priority to protect the privacy of our Members.
Information Gathering and How It Is Used
1. Registration for Membership
To create your account as a registered Member of ePicketFence, we will require you to choose a Member ID and password. We will also require you to provide certain personal information, such as your first and last name. EPicketFence will not disclose the personal information of our Members to any third parties… but, there are some notable exceptions you ought to know about and understand: ePicketFence will respond to legal subpoenas, search warrants and other legal process if we conclude that this disclosure is absolutely necessary. For example, such disclosure could be to protect the safety of our membership.
2. Contact Information
Fundamental to the experience of ePicketFence is building and interacting with your network of contacts. Our social networking function, forums, and other features, are designed to further facilitate your interacting and networking by allowing members to share personal information, insights, and comments. Remember, it is always your choice whether or not to share certain information with other ePicketFence members or the general public.
Another important feature of ePicketFence is your ability to create Groups based on common interests, and invite contacts who share that interest to join your Group. When you create a group, we may ask you to provide information to identify the group, such as a group name and a brief description of the Group.
4. Profile
Your profile page will include information about yourself to enable other ePicketFence Members to find your profile in searches, and invite you into their network. Information such as your first name and user Id may be viewable. If you choose to upload a photo, this may also be viewable by all ePicketFence Members. Providing profile information allows ePicketFence Members to better identify each other and more effectively connect and interact with their network.
5. Children
EPicketFence will not knowingly provide access to the website to persons under the age of fifteen (15).
6. Advertisers
We may use third-party advertising companies to advertise products or services on our site. These companies may employ cookies and action tags (also known as single pixel gifs or web beacons) to measure advertising effectiveness. Any information that these third parties collect via cookies and action tags will be completely anonymous.
Nothing here is set in stone. From time to time, ePicketFence may change parts of or all of our privacy policy. If this happens, it will not be done in secret. We will post the changes or planned changes on ePicketFence.com to make all concerned aware of what is going on.
